Finca el Moro – 4th July – 11th July 2011 Full HATHA VINYASA YIN YOGA

(From £485.00)

In the heart of the Sierra de Aracena National Park in the South West of Andalucia, close to the Portugese border. It’s a hill farm of sweet chestnut, cork and olive trees, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

“ It provides an inspiring environment in which to both relax and gain a deeper understanding of your spiritual practice.”

With seventy five acres of certified organic farmland, horses, a resident deer, yoga shala and swimming pools, Finca el Moro is truly a special place that offers the serenity, beauty and peace we long for in our busy lives. The owners have been running the farm, as well as offering yoga, walking and riding holidays for twenty years. A yoga shala overlooks the farm’s olive groves. Original cottages, all with ensuite bathrooms have been beautifully restored. Most of the delicious food comes from the farm itself. Finca el moro is a truly magical place.

Getting there

Finca el Moro is 1 hour North West of Seville. The nearest town of any size is Aracena.
Seville is the nearest airport and train station.
The next closest airport is Malaga – which is linked to Seville by a frequent train or bus service that takes about 2.5 hours.
Links for timetables you’ll find below.
The airport is about 20 mins from the city centre linked by taxi (€21) or bus.

Our hosts will collect guests for our Yoga week from Seville airport or from a central point in the town.
There will be one trip at the beginning of the week which tries to coincide with everyone’s arrival to make it as convenient as possible for all – usually early evening. At the end of the week we leave the farm by 10.00 a.m. to get everyone back to Seville by 11.30 a.m. If those timings don’t work we can make other private arrangements using Pepe’s taxi (€100) based in the village.

There is a very good local bus that leaves Seville every day, from the Plaza des Armas Bus station at 16.00 hrs and arrives at Fuenteheridos at 17.30. It leaves Fuenteheridos at 0700 a.m. every day and arrives in Seville at 09.15.

If coming by car the retreat is 2.5 kms from the main road down a rough but serviceable farm track. If your car has very low clearance you will need to travel with care. For most vehicles it is fine but one takes it slowly and makes sure that “you didn’t forget to buy the milk”…….

Food plays a very important part in our lives at Finca el Moro!

They spend a lot of time growing it, harvesting it and preserving it,
to finally take great pleasure in cooking it and serving it to their guests.

There premise has always been farm fresh ingredients simply cooked and getting it “from the tree to the table” in as short a time as possible.

They farm organically and produce most of their own fruit and vegetables. They grow olives and sweet chestnuts and have bee hives for delicious forest honey.

Vegetarians are well catered for with lovely recipes using seasonal vegetables fresh picked from the garden. You will wake every morning to the cock crow knowing your breakfast egg is as fresh as it could be!
